| These images are from a dredging operation in a small harbour located in Stockholm
archipelago. It needed dredging after the bottom of the sea was raised through the years. |
| The gravel had piled up towards the wooden bridge (horizontal in images), making it leaning. The water was less than 1 m
(3 ft) deep and must be deepened. The white fabric (right image) indicates where all sand and gravel from the bottom of the sea will be pumped. |
The slurry pump was mounted on a barge and hung in a wind-lass to simplify the lowering and rising of the pump.
| The agitator gives the BRAVO pumps enhanced efficiency. |
The two jet beams on the side of the pump were used to stir up sand
and gravel from the bottom of the sea to make it easier to pump. |
| The drainage pump MASTER was used for the jet beams.
The water was so shallow that the pump
did not need to be lowered more than this. |
| There was a clear difference between sand and
gravel being pumped and when only water came.

This image shows the agitator after pumping sand
and gravel for some hours. A stone of fist size
managed to get in and tumble around without
damaging the pump.
Except for some paint worn off, there is no wear. |
| A total quantity of 35 m3 sand and gravel was pumped. |
After the dredging, the boat landings at
the bridge could finally be used again. |
