Technical image information

General info
On each image page you will find thumbnails, a
concept of small images with a link to the corresponding
big image. This makes it possible to see the image before
downloading it.

Downloading images
There are mainly two ways of downloading images to
a PC from this site;

1. Right-click the link. A pop-up menu will appear,
from which you choose "Save Link As...". (Some
browsers may use other words, like "Save Target As").
After choosing the "Save..." option, the dialogue box
"Save file" will appear. Choose a location for the file,
click "OK" and the file is on the way. It is possible to
download several files simultaneously with this method.

2. Left-click the link, just as usual. When the image is
loaded, right-click it. A menu will appear, from which
you choose "Save image as...". Another dialogue box,
"Save file", will appear. Choose a location for the file
and click "OK".

Resolution and image size
All Grindex printable images have the resolution
300dpi (dots per inch). The printing size at 300 dpi
is stated above each thumbnail. It is not recommended
to print the images in larger size than stated. If you
require a special image format, please contact Grindex.

Picture formats
The images are available in RGB, jpg level 12. This gives
the highest quality and lowest compression with file
sizes between 0,5 and 8 MB. Jpg-images at level 12
can be printed without loss of quality.

TIFF files
Grindex new logo is available in TIFF format only. This
is to ensure that the logo background doesn’t get
distorted. As a TIFF file is uncompressed, the file size
is larger than a jpg file.

Please be aware of the fact that some image files are
big and can take quite some time to download with a
56k modem. The actual file size is stated in each link.
